Terms
Effective October 9, 2026.
These are the terms for using this website and the standard terms for editing work. Each project is also confirmed in a short written agreement before work starts, which repeats the points below with the specific prices and dates filled in.
Using this website
- The content of this site belongs to Oside Edits. Client videos shown on it belong to those clients and appear with their permission. Please do not copy or repost them.
- The site is provided as is. We keep it accurate and current, but prices and turnaround times can change; the written agreement for your project is what counts.
Editing work
- What you get. Finished vertical videos: trimmed, captioned in your brand style, audio leveled, with hook text, a thumbnail frame, a caption file and a suggested post caption. Filming and motion graphics are not included unless agreed in writing.
- Payment. Prices are quoted by message and confirmed in the written agreement. Single reels are paid after you have seen the finished video, within 7 days of delivery. Monthly plans are invoiced at the start of each month. We accept Zelle, cash and check. Prices are in US dollars.
- First reel guarantee. If you do not like your first reel, you do not pay for it.
- Turnaround. Delivery dates are agreed when you send the clips; single reels are usually delivered the next day. Monthly plans deliver on an agreed weekday. The clock starts when we have the footage, your brand colors and anything else the edit needs.
- Revisions. Two rounds of changes are included on every reel, requested within 7 days of delivery. If we do not hear from you within 7 days, the reel is treated as approved. Further rounds are quoted in advance.
- Your footage and materials. By sending us clips, logos, images or music, you confirm that you own them or have permission to use them, and that people who appear in them have agreed to be filmed. You are responsible for your own materials; we are responsible for our editing.
- Music. We do not add licensed music to delivered files. Add a track from the posting platform's own library when you post, which keeps you within that platform's license. If you ask us to add music, we use only tracks with a documented license that allows commercial use, and tell you if a credit is required.
- Ownership. Once a reel is paid for, the finished video is yours and all rights in the edit are assigned to you. We keep our own templates, presets and project files.
- Showing the work. We would like to show finished reels, including before-and-after comparisons, on this site and on our Instagram account, and we will only do so if you say yes in writing. You can say no at any time and nothing about the service changes. Logos and quotes from you are used only with a separate yes.
- Deleting files. Raw footage and finished files are deleted 30 days after delivery unless you ask us to keep them longer.
- No promised results. We promise careful, on-time editing. We do not promise views, followers or sales, because no editor can.
- Limits. If something goes wrong on our side, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid for the affected work. We are not responsible for claims that come from your own materials.
- Cancelling. Monthly plans can be cancelled by email at any time and end at the close of the paid month. Single reels can be cancelled before editing starts at no charge.
- Disputes. These terms are governed by California law. If we cannot sort something out by email, either side can use the San Diego County small claims court.
